The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ikorodu Division on Wednesday staged a Mega Rally to mobilise residents in voting its Chairmanship and Councilorship candidates across the one Local Government Area (LGA) and five Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs).
At the rally held at the Ikorodu Town Hall, six Chairmanship candidates, their running mates and 30 Councillorship candidates were presented to the thousands of party members and residents that were in attendance. They were also presented with the party flags.
Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun, chieftain of the Governance Advisory Council (GAC), Sen. Adeseye Ogunlewe, GAC chieftain, Rep. Babajimi Benson, representative Ikorodu Federal Constituency, Hon. Gbolahan Ogunleye, member, Lagos State House of Assembly representing Ikorodu Constituency I, and Mr Fola Tinubu, Managing Director, Primero presented APC flags to the candidates at the rally.
Prince Adedayo Ladega and Mr Babawale Alogba, Chairmanship and Vice Chairmanship candidates, Ikorodu LGA, Hon. Sulaimon Kazeem Olanrewaju and Hon. Segun Aluko, Chairmanship and Vice Chairmanship candidates, Ikorodu West LCDA, Hon. Ameen Olawale Ibrahim Apanisile and Hon. Matthew Alliu Adesanya, Chairmanship and Vice Chairmanship candidates, Ikorodu North LCDA.
Others are Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun and Barr. Ade Ayeni, Chairmanship and Vice Chairmanship candidates, Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, Hon. Motuntayo Gbadebo -Alogba, and Hon. Kabir Femi Kareem, Chairmanship and Vice Chairmanship candidates, Ijede LCDA and Hon. Sunday Benson and Princess Abisoye Jimoh, Chairmanship and Vice Chairmanship candidates, Imota LCDA.
King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, KWAM I, who entertained the massive crowd sang praises of each and every candidate, appealing to APC members to work and mobilise the electorate to vote for the ruling party.
He also praised party leaders for their efforts in the development of APC.
Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun, chieftain of the Governance Advisory Council (GAC), thanked members for the good work that they are doing.
The elder statesman charged them to continue to mobilise other residents to come out en mass to vote for APC on Saturday so that they can reap the benefits.
In his remarks, Rep. Benson charged APC members and general constituents of Ikorodu Federal Constituency to improve on the commendable votes given to President Bola Tinubu two years ago by voting massively for all the candidates of the party.
He urged them to use the coming elections to prove that Ikorodu is first and deserves more.
At the mega rally were many other APC leaders from across the Ikorodu Division.
